Arsenal are already deep in planning for the summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta keen to add some fresh faces to the squad – and fast, since the season is well in swing and the rumour mill is churning out all sorts of interesting stories about possible new arrivals in midfield and in attack. A Free Transfer For Leon Goretzka Could Be On The Cards
Arsenal have already had a few words with Leon Goretzka and it’s likely they’ll be going back for another chat. The Bayern Munich midfielder has made it pretty clear that he’s open to a move to the Premier League.
Goretzka is a 31 year old German international with a whole heap of pedigree – a Champions League winner and 67 caps to his name – and he’s going to be a free agent this summer when his Bayern contract runs out.
Bayern have confirmed the split after some pretty open talks with Goretzka, he’s off to find a new challenge after spending 8 very successful years in Munich.
Arsenal did make a bit of a late bid in January but unfortunately they were a bit too slow off the mark – Goretzka said no at the time and decided to stick with Bayern for the rest of the season.

Rumours have been swirling though and German reporter Christian Falk has even come out with the goods: “It is TRUE: Arsenal made an offer for Leon Goretzka in January, just before the transfer deadline” but by then Goretzka’s mind was already made up to wait until the summer.
Now, Arsenal are supposedly considering signing him and have had some preliminary chats with his representatives. Falk went on to say that Goretzka knocked back a proposal from Atletico Madrid and is really keen to make the move to England.
The Gunners seem to be in the boxseat though, as Goretzka sees the Premier League as the perfect next chapter after all those years with Bochum, Schalke, and Bayern.
Landing Goretzka on a free transfer would be a pretty smart bit of business for Arsenal – it frees up some cash to go after other targets while giving them some much needed experience and depth to draw on.
He could easily take over from Christian Norgaard and give Mikel Arteta a real headache – Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino are going to have to be on their toes because Goretzka would bring a whole new level of competition to the midfield.
Raphinha Interest: Arsenal Prepare ‘Astronomical’ Offer for Barcelona Star
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is apparently getting ready to make an enormous offer to bring Raphinha from Barcelona this summer.
Fichajes ,a Spanish football coverage, are saying that the Brazilian forward is a priority target to give Arsenal a bit more punch out on the left wing. Raphinha is reportedly worth in the region of €100m which is a pretty massive ask, but he’s been one of Barcelona’s standout players since Hansi Flick took charge – especially playing on that left side.
Arsenal are looking for a player who can score more goals than Gabriel Martinelli has been managing of late. A move for Raphinha would certainly give them some extra flair & a proven quality out on the wing but it might also get under Hansi Flick’s skin if Barcelona are thinking about selling him in order to help ease their financial problems.
Although the interest from Arsenal is apparently there Raphinha is said to be pretty happy at Barcelona & turned down any chance of joining the Gunners, preferring to stick at Camp Nou. To be honest he may even be in line for the captaincy at some point. Barcelona don’t seem too keen to sell him unless it’s for a massive fee which somehow triggers his release clause.
Based on the latest updates, this one looks like a pretty long shot.
Endrick Latest : Real Madrid Put Down a Marker
Arsenal are keeping an eye on young talent Endrick, but from what we’re hearing Real Madrid have very firmly told them he’s not for sale.
The 19 year-old Brazilian Brazilian forward, who only joined Madrid from Palmeiras, has been struggling to get any regular minutes at the Bernabeu but has really thrived on loan at Lyon, scoring five goals in just six games.
This form has prompted Arsenal, Chelsea, & Tottenham to make fresh inquiries to see if they can pick him up but sources close to the situation are saying that Madrid intend to bring him back into the fold for next season and give him another chance to develop – even though he’ll need to get past some of the big guns like Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid have told all interested clubs in no uncertain terms that Endrick is off limits. His agent even confirmed that: “Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season, he’s on loan at Lyon at the moment and at the end of the season he’ll be back with Real Madrid.”
For now it looks like Arsenal will just have to keep dreaming. Arsenal fans will be keeping a close eye on all these developments as the summer gets closer.
