Arsenal Offer Key Role to PSG-Linked Midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi

Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of highly rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the Premier League club reportedly holding long-standing discussions over a potential move for one of France’s brightest young talents.

According to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal have been monitoring and engaging with Bouaddi’s representatives since early last year, highlighting the club’s serious interest in securing the teenager’s signature.

Bouaddi has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in Ligue 1, impressing with his technical ability, composure on the ball, and maturity beyond his years. His rapid development at Lille has attracted attention from several European heavyweights, including French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are believed to be among Arsenal’s main competitors in the race for the midfielder, with reports suggesting that Bouaddi initially favored a move to the Parc des Princes. However, Arsenal have continued to push strongly for the youngster, outlining a clear pathway to first-team football under manager Mikel Arteta.

The North London club have reportedly assured Bouaddi that he would play an important role in their long-term project, a message that has resonated with the player and sparked genuine interest in a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Recent talks between Arsenal and the player’s camp are understood to have been positive, with club officials increasingly optimistic about their chances of convincing the talented midfielder to choose England over France.

Arteta is also expected to become more directly involved in discussions as negotiations progress. The Spaniard has been instrumental in attracting several key signings in recent seasons, and Arsenal believe his vision could prove decisive once again.

Despite the growing optimism, Arsenal face a significant hurdle in Lille’s valuation of the player. The French club are reportedly demanding around £60 million before considering any sale, reflecting Bouaddi’s immense potential and growing importance to the team.

Nevertheless, Arsenal may possess an advantage at the negotiating table due to their strong relationship with Lille president Olivier Létang, which could help facilitate discussions should talks advance further.

While no agreement has been reached, Arsenal’s interest in Bouaddi appears genuine and long-term. Alongside links to other midfield targets, including Sandro Tonali and Manu Koné, the Gunners continue to explore multiple options as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
