Arsenal Move Ahead of Liverpool in Race for Ayyoub Bouaddi
Arsenal have reportedly intensified their pursuit of highly-rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, potentially putting them ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign one of Europe’s most promising young talents.
According to reports from The Times, the Gunners have made an early move for the French teenager as they seek to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season. While no formal offer has been submitted, Arsenal’s interest is said to be genuine and growing.
Liverpool have also been linked with the midfielder. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano previously reported that initial discussions had taken place between Bouaddi’s representatives and several interested clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal. However, Arsenal appear to be moving quickly to position themselves at the front of the queue.
The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting midfield prospects in European football. Having broken into Lille’s first team at a remarkably young age, Bouaddi has continued his rapid development and established himself as a key figure for the French club.
The 2025/26 campaign proved to be a breakthrough season for the youngster.
