Arsenal Transfer News: Nine Players on the Club’s Radar as January Deadline Nears
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is racing against the clock – the January transfer window is down to its final gasp and 2nd Feb at 7pm is the deadline for any last-minute business.
As that deadline looms, Arsenal are having to think quickly about who they can bring in to give Mikel Arteta a bit of extra firepower for the Premier League title push – despite the massive spend in the summer they still look open to making further signings.
Arsenal’s Transfer Situation
The Gunners went big in the summer transfer window under Berta’s guidance, coughing up a pretty staggering £300 million or so.
The major signings have been few and far between – Kepa , Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard & Noni Madueke were some of the big ones but that wasn’t the end of the spending spree – on we went to bring in Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres, & Eberechi Eze alongside that loan signing of Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen with the option to make the move permanent.
But even with that kind of investment, they’re still keeping an eye on the market for late deals.
